Since joining SGRisk in 2014, Jon has developed a thorough knowledge of the property-casualty business, both from a company and consulting viewpoint. Jon provides support to multiple clients whose industries range from Medical Malpractice to Homeowners insurance. He helps produce both the Statement of Actuarial Opinion as well as the Actuarial Opinion Summary, as prescribed by the NAIC. In his role, Jon has completed claims and underwriting audits for individual companies to both increase efficiency and accuracy of claims handling. He has created matrices to identify and rank major risks that individual companies face as well as suggest risk controls to adequately address the exposure from each of the identified risks. Jon works to provide clients with assistance on key operations. Examples are providing projected funding levels for future fiscal years, calculating reinsurance treaty losses to report to reinsurers, and testing a company’s exposure at varying retention levels.
Jon achieved his Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics at The College of New Jersey. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
